LEDs typically do not “burn out” or fail. Instead, they experience 'lumen depreciation', wherein the brightness of the LED dims slowly over time.
Our used ones we test may have slightly less radiance and may add 5 to 10 minutes to the session.
All of our used beds are priced based on how old they are and the difference in radiance from the manufacturer's specs compared to what now shows on the red light meter.
If a bed had a starting irradiance of 65mw/cm2 and now its only 50mw/cm2...thats 23% lower.
Each bed loses 10% of its value each year. So if it is 4 years old and lost 23% of its value, the price of the bed that costs 60,000 would be 40% plus 23% off.
The used price is $30,311.82.
Note: this all depends on if it is used all day long. If not used much, the LEDs doesn't depreciate about 10% each year.

Companies are claiming over 5 times the real diode output. They are measuring under the plastic cover or are not calibrated (solar power meters were used, not red light meters). “The FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive advertising in any medium. That is, advertising must tell the truth and not mislead consumers.”
If you received a red light bed that did not deliver the advertised intensity, then under federal protection (and often state laws too) you have a right to a refund, financial compensation, or a return.
