Lightstim Red light bed:

There is a lot of negative talk about Lightstim (the company that introduced the first red light bed). Many people want a canopy type and don't want to have to roll over and do two 30 minute sessions. For those who are not educated on a slow burn red light therapy session, I don't blame anyone for thinking it is crazy to buy a single bed when you can get the session done in half the time with a canopy red lights above you.

If you want to use the Lightstim you have to lay down for a 20 minute session and then flip over and do another 20 minute session. This is a slow burn led light bed. For those that want a 10 to 15 minute full body treatment session time the Lightstim is not for you. A 30 minute session on both sides is what I do. Most clinics can't afford to do 1 hour sessions and most beds have a 20 minute session time. The latest models that have 65mw have now cut the session time down to 10 minutes total.

As much every tanning bed type competitor talks to my customers and tries to talk them out of the Lightstim...Lighstim has more beds out there in clinics than any other company out there.

Most people can't afford them new. I have access to discounted trade show beds. If you want a Lightstim, let me know.

Also, if you are in a state that they are having a trade show at, and your are local, there is no shipping cost for them to bring an extra bed with them if you can pick it up at the show. This goes for all brands.

Contact me if you want to see the videos showing measurements from the results above. These were not done on a solar meter. There is nothing wrong with lower power levels. You are still getting the rays (wavelengths) but just not the fluence intensity. Slow burn still works, just works differently than a fast burn type.

Lightstim DOES NOT HAVE A CANOPY AND HERE IS WHY.
NOTE: If your patients have enough time to do 30 minutes on each side, this slow burn based on everyone that has tried the canopy type and the Lighstim bed usually has the same opinion.

With just one bottom light bed, when laying at the same thermocline, all of the body gets around the same intensity. With most top covers (canopies), people are over dosing getting too many joules of energy into the body at once. I personally have more experience and feedback with Lightstim than any other red light bed company. I believe the slow burn way is the best way to get treatment. There are more powerful ones that take half the time but most people would feel ripped off if they paid for a 10 minute treatment time.

Lightstim has the widest bed of all red light beds out there. You can fit 2 people on this bed. It gives people who are positional intolerant to move around. Some beds are so narrow that your arms are so close to your sides you start to sweat. Many people get an armpit rash from not having enough room to open up their arms on the bed. Also, the Lightstim is not concave. Concave beds push my arms close to my body and the red light can’t reach the sides of my body since my arms are too close and in the way. Also, many people want to spread their legs out a little and not stay in too straight of a position for the entire session.

For some people, the benefits of having a bottom bed that is much wider makes up for thinner bed that is cramped that has a top canopy.

There are 2 types of customers - canopy lovers and single bed lovers

Read the bottom and I will tell you what is really going on with the single bed design that nearly all the tanning bed type bed companies talk down on.

My article on the bottom of the page is based on all the customers that call me who have been using Lighstim's single bed without the canopy.
Here is what really people say that go on the Lighstim bed who have also been on canopy types.
Many users that go to clinics are aware of that the Lighstim takes about an hour and you have to flip over twice.
Most patients want to relax and feel that warmth and take that hour to zone out and feel good for an hour. The newest red light beds
have up to 68mw while the Lighstim base on the meters have 12.6mw (Novathor is about 1mw stronger and costs almost double the Lighstim).

If you want customers to feel like they are getting kicked off the bed just when they start to doze off and relax you are not going to probably have happy customers if they drove to your office and after 10 minutes the session is over (68mw models). If you want a fast burn session the Lighstim is not the right bed for you. I personally will use the Lighstim if I have an hour but many clinics try to get people in and out too quick and end up losing the customer. Most Groupon deals have the 10 to 15 minute session models.

Clinics that have Lightstim's slow burn bed usually charge more for the hour. Slow burn (slowly putting joules of energy into the body is best for people that have a slow metabolism and when the cells are charged up too high too fast the liver can't provide enough glucose for the high charged cells to burn and combust it. Those who can't tolerate a fast burn will like the Lighstim better.

Red light feels relaxing and rarely people are just ready to get off the bed after an hour. Lighstim was the first red light bed on the market and they would have made a canopy bed if they wanted to. Lighstim has more red light beds in clinics than any other brand. If you want to try one... I can check the list to see where one is at. I can get you a Lighstim bed if you want one at a good price.

CONSUMER NOTICE - CLASS ACTION
GET YOUR MONEY BACK FOR THE LIGHTBED THAT FALSELY REPRESENTED THEIR INTENSITY CLAIMS.
Companies are claiming over 5 times the real diode output. They are measuring under the plastic cover or are not calibrated (solar power meters were used, not red light meters). “The FTC Act prohibits unfair or deceptive advertising in any medium. That is, advertising must tell the truth and not mislead consumers.”

If you received a red light bed that did not deliver the advertised intensity, then under federal protection (and often state laws too) you have a right to a refund, financial compensation, or a return.
